How many different hands have you held over the years? Small ones, old ones, familiar ones and maybe even some not so familiar. Holding hands can be a powerful moment and yet we also shy away from opening our hands to others. Remember in middle school – when you were asked to hold someone’s hand?!? So much can be communicated through our hands: trust, care, fear, love, support and so much more! As we start this summer off, we will follow this year’s Bible Study from Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp that will challenge all of us to live more open handed with God – as well as being honest about the times we pull our hands away when we are anxious or scared or angry. And maybe, just maybe all of us will find blessing in opening those hands and drawing a little nearer to God!
